For further details please visit www.pantheon.com Team Profile Pantheon Private Credit (“PPC”) was established in 2018 and manages approximately $15 billion in AUM, raising numerous drawdown and evergreen funds, SMAs and structured vehicles across the institutional, insurance and retail investor markets to take advantage of the growing private credit secondary market opportunity set. PPC was the first institution to raise a dedicated pool of capital focused on credit secondaries and is one of the most active and scaled buyers in the market. PPC’s core mandate is to acquire seasoned portfolios of private credit assets (senior, junior, opportunistic, asset-based, etc.) by investing in traditional LP-led secondaries as well as GP-led secondaries, whereby PPC provides a range of liquidity solutions and partnership capital to LPs and GPs in the private credit markets. The team also co-invests across the private credit risk spectrum directly into companies and assets alongside credit GPs.

Purpose of Position To support the continued growth of PPC, we are recruiting an Associate who will primarily work on evaluating new investment opportunities and ongoing portfolio monitoring as well as ad hoc project and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support PPC team members in qualitatively and quantitatively evaluating/underwriting new investment opportunities, including due diligence on companies, sectors, loan portfolios, and GPs, performing valuations, data analysis and financial modelling; a significant amount of time will be spent on financial modelling and deal evaluation
  • Preparation and presentation of findings and proposals for investment committee and other internal meetings
  • Assist in closing process with legal and operational administration
  • Regularly update CRM system to reflect active deal pipeline
  • Monitor private credit industry landscape by participating in GP outreach, manager meetings and market mapping
  • Assist investor relations team with ad hoc requests and projects related to fundraising
  • Support and participate in sourcing activities with GPs/LPs/intermediaries

Knowledge And Experience Required

  • 1-3 years max experience working as an analyst/associate in investment banking (e.g. leverage finance, FIG coverage, specialty finance, structured finance, fund finance, GP-led secondary advisory, restructuring, etc.), at a credit investment firm (direct lending, opportunistic credit, specialty/asset-based finance) or a secondaries investment firm
  • Proficient in financial modelling, data analysis and accounting
  • Strong interest in credit investing as well as an understanding of fundamental credit analysis and leveraged buyouts; secondaries knowledge/experience is a plus
  • Demonstrable analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Team-oriented, results driven, adaptable, mature, intellectually curious, humble, strong work ethic and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree

Expected base salary range: $120,000 - $135,000

Actual base salary is determined by a range of factors including individual experience, skills and qualifications.

In addition to the above salary, Pantheon offers a generous employee benefits package and successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus
